Patiala Babes on Sony TV

Patiala Babes is a family drama with the reality of woman empowerment. Babita is a family woman who lives in a joint family with her daughter Mini in Patiala. Her husband Ashok left to foreign for work and has been living alone for 17 years. After 17 years Ashok came to see his family, then Babita comes to know that Ashok has an extra marital affair with Meeta. Thus, Babita and Mini leaves the home and comes to live an independent life. Mini encourages Babita to start a restaurant called Patiala Babes, to make her an independent woman and stand upright in the society.

At this time, Mini makes Ashok and Meeta live together and Meeta gets pregnant with Ashok’s baby. Babita falls in love with Hanuman an inspector whose wife left him with his boyfriend. They both get married with family’s acceptance and Mini’s acceptance. But after the marriage, Babita didn’t concentrate much on Mini and was involved with Hanuman in their family life. Mini gets possessive over Babita and she wanted her to start Patiala Babes. But suddenly, Babita stopped the Patiala Babes and she went into her family life. After this Mini leaves Babita and goes to persue her visual communication course. Babita realizes that she forgot Mini after marriage and she feels for it.

The story fast forwards to 5 years and Mini comes to Manali for a video shoot. Hanuman comes to know about this and he plans to see Mini but the next day Hanuman and Babita dies in an accident. Mini comes to know about the accident and she comes to see them. There she is given the responsibility to take care of Arya, daughter of Babita and Hanuman. Mini leaves her life in Australia and she strives to start the Patiala Babes again. She starts the restaurant and she appoints a chef called Neil as chief chef. Later Mini develops a feeling for Neil and she falls in love with him. But she controls that to concentrate on success of Patiala Babes. Meanwhile Arya faces molestation in school by a school watchman and Mini comes to know about it. Thus, Mini comes forward and punishes the school watchman and gets appreciation for it. Later Mini comes to know that Neil is married and he has a kid and he is trying to get divorce form Isha. She sees his daughter Kia and remembers her past life. Thus, she avoids Neil. After Neil confessing the truth for divorce, Mini stands his side and helps him get legal divorce from Isha.

This series showcased the love between mom and daughter, the strength that a daughter gives to her single mother and her support for her mother to lead her own life. The strength that a daughter gives to her mother to lead an independent and respectful life, the respect that a daughter gives for her mother’s relationship, the turmoil that the daughter faces after her mother’s marriage uplifts the interest to watch this series. Still the series couldn’t be continued as they were not sure about the resume of shooting so they stopped airing Patiala Babes abruptly.

Ashnoor Kaur, Saisha Bajaj, Paridhi Sharma, Aniruddh Dave, Saurabh Raj Jain are the star cast and other cast include Bhanujeet Sudan, Hunar Hali, Roshni Sahota and others.
