Maat (Pakistani TV Series)
Being a Pakistani Drama series, Maat was firstly introduced on Hum TV in Pakistan. After on, the show went on popular, and it was aired in four other countries including Iraq, India, UK, and Turkey. In India, it was broadcasted on Zindagi TV initiated in the year 2014. The show was premiered on 9 September 2011. Known as one of the top-rated Pakistani series, the show ended on 24 February 2012. The story of the drama was extracted from a well-known novel by the same name written by Umera Ahmed. After TV, the show was televised on MX Player, ZEE5, and Hum TV’s official youtube channel. The drama began with two beautiful young girls, Saman and Aiman, who belong to a middle-class family. Both of them were sisters, however, their traits were unlike. Aiman, the elder sister was polite and mature, while on the reverse, Saman was a bit sharp mind. The twist came with the entry of Faisal, their cousin. Faisal was engaged with Aiman, but, knowingly, he fell for Saman. After that, Saman abandoned him and went away with Faisal’s business partner, Azar, who was richer than him. For the good guidance of Hadid (Faisal’s child), Aiman’s mother decided to get Faisal and Aiman got married. The story moved twenty years ahead, where Faisal owned his own business, running his affair with Saman again. Ditching Aiman and their family, both of them got married. Finally, the story came to an end, when Hadid has grown up and felt his mother’s pain. One day, Saman called Aiman to apologize, however, Aiman, reminded her of her mistakes, and hung up the call. In this way, she gave a Maat to Saman forever.
Coming upon the star cast. All of them were bee’s knees. Commencing with Aiman aka Aamina Sheikh, she did a heart-stealing job in the series. On the other hand, Saba Qamar who portrayed Saman was seen in a terrific negative role. Adnan Siddiqui who played a lead actor role as Faisal stole everyone’s heart. Noor Hassan Rizvi as Hadeed, Shamim Hilaly as Faisal’s mother, Rabia Noreen as Afia, Asad Malik as Aazar, Samina Ahmad as a servant, Maheen Rizvi as Shaila, and Sadia Ghaffar as Munazzah were divine in their role.
