Vikrant Massey

Vikrant Massey has the honours of playing the protagonist IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma. He has done complete justice to the character, portraying each and every emotion with divine perfection. A timid village boy with dreams in his bright eyes, sometimes cleaning dust in the library, sometimes the public toilet, and sometimes breaking down completely when life leaves him no choice but to sleep with beggars. Vikrant’s standard of acting is perhaps his best performance so far, and this is bound to set a new direction in his career.

Medha Shankr

Medha Shankr plays the role of Manoj’s lady love – Shraddha Joshi. She fits perfectly with Vikrant and they look very good together. Her acting skills are quite strong. She made her acting debut with Beecham House – a British television series, in 2019, where she played Roshanara. After this, she made her film debut in 2021, with a Hindi teen musical film – Shaadisthan.

Priyanshu Chatterjee

Playing the impressive character of DSP Dushyant Singh, we see Priyanshu Chatterjee. A former model and having already established himself as a successful Bollywood actor, we have seen him in numerous movies of the 20s such as Dil Ka Rishta, Tum Bin, Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai, Bhoothnath, and many more.

Anshumaan Pushkar

Anshumaan Pushkar is best known for playing the character of Rocky in the Netflix show Jamtara, and as Rishi Ranjan in the Hotstar original series Grahan. In the 12th Fail movie, he can be seen portraying Gauri Bhaiya, a friend and confidant to Vikrant Massey’s Manoj Sharma. He, too, is a UPSC aspirant and struggling for his dreams just like Manoj, hence, understands him.

Vikas Divyakirti

Vikas Divyakirti is an educator and author. He is a former civil servant and gives coaching to UPSC aspirants in Delhi at his own coaching institute – Drishti IAS. He has played himself in the 12th Fail movie, and he looks quite natural as an actor. For someone who is not an actor and is from a completely different professional background, he played his character well and did not seem to have faced any problem with the camera. This skill is surely commendable.
