The show’s production design is quite praise-worthy. It is mesmerizing to see how effectively the viewers are transported to the 90s and early 2000s. The action sequences, despite being devoid of high-tech vehicles and modern gadgets, are exciting and impactful.
The CGI-free action sequences have a raw look and feel to them. The hand-to-hand fights are nicely choreographed. The weaponry has a retro look and is a treat to watch.

Filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. are the directors of the show which is the prequel to the mothership show Citadel of 2023. They are known for creating cult films such as Shor In The City, Go Goa Gone, and Flavors. They made their digital/OTT debut with the hit series The Family Man. Their second digital series – Farzi – starring Shahid Kapoor, Amol Palekar, and Vijay Sethupathi, also won hearts and awards – becoming the most-watched Indian series of all time.
